These psychodelicately colored little devils commonly called the “Peacock Mantis Shrimp” a/k/a “Thumb-Splitters” see 10 times more colors than the human eye, ultraviolet light included. Their little hammer-like defense appendage strikes it’s prey with the same force as a 22 caliber bullet. They have no known predators and for obvious reason they make a poor aquarium member.
